In the migration seminar offered jointly by MGSoG/UNU-MERIT in collaboration with MACIMIDE (Maastricht University), Prof. Dr. Maarten Vink will present about Naturalization in Context: Migrant Life Course and Institutional Change. The seminar will be held on 20 February 2019 from 13:00 – 14:00 in room 0.16/0.17 of the UNU-MERIT building at Boschstraat 24.
MiLifeStatus researcher Marie Labussière and MiLifeStatus research associate Marloes de Hoon presented research papers at the IMISCOE Research Symposium and PhD course "A citizenship lens on the links between migrant transnationalism and integration” in Oslo, Norway, on 21-23 November 2018.
MiLifeStatus researchers Swantje Falcke (Maastricht University) and Anna Tegunimataka (Lund University) presented first findings of the MiLifeStatus project at the 19th Nordic Migration Research Conference in Norrköping, Sweden (15-17 August 2018).
MiLifeStatus researchers Maarten Vink, Swantje Falcke, Floris Peters, Christophe Leclerc (all Maastricht University) and Anna Tegunimataka (Lund University) presented first findings of the MiLifeStatus project in three papers at the 2018 IMISCOE Annual Conference in Barcelona (2-4 July 2018).
On 29th March, Post-doctoral researcher Swantje Falcke and PhD candidate Marloes de Hoon presented a paper at the 25th International Conference of Europeanists in Illinois, USA. The conference is themed around “Europe and the World: Mobilities, Values and Citizenship” and organized by the Council for European Studies.
Samuel David Schmid is a PhD researcher at the Department of Political and Social Sciences at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy. Supervised by Rainer Bauböck and Maarten Vink, he comparatively investigates the relationship between the openness of borders and the inclusiveness of citizenship.
